Prayer

When Jesus was living on earth his friends asked him to show them how to pray. He gave them a prayer that they could use:

Our Father in heaven, help us to honour your name. Come and set up your kingdom, so that everyone on earth will obey you, as you are obeyed in heaven. Give us our food for today. Forgive us for doing wrong, as we forgive others. Keep us from being tempted and protect us from evil. If you forgive others for the wrongs they do to you, your Father in heaven will forgive you. But if you don't forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins. The Bible, Matthew 6:9-15

That prayer reminds us that God is in heaven and he is the one who can help us. We can ask him for things we need. We can ask him for forgiveness when we do wrong things.

Prayer does not have to be religious language or in a church. Prayer is talking to God and you can do it anywhere. Remember that God loves you and he is only a prayer away.
