When 2017 400H World Champion failed to make the US team for the 2016 Olympics, she decided she needed a project to distract her. She got the idea of a training journal. She: “wanted to create a resource for Christian athletes where they could track their training and diet and also reflect on how God is impacting them as they train”.The 12 week journal has two pages for each day for the athlete to write down
The day’s goals;
The training achieved;
What the athlete ate;
Recovery;
Hours slept;
How the body felt;
What I can improve;
How I got better today;
Things to be thankful for;
What to pray about.
There is a Bible verse and an inspirational quote for each day. There is half a page where the athlete is encouraged to journal about the day.
