Steve Connor writes from experience of a pro player and a sports ministry practitioner. His 75 devotionals are in the format - Scripture verse, devotional, reflection, prayer and often a provocative quote for example "Competition is the sincerest expression of holiness" Vince Lombardi.
The devotional is easy to read. Scripture is applied to sport and there are illustrations from sport and from Steve's own life.
What makes the book more accessible is the alphabetical index of subjects covered at the front and an index of Scriptures at the back
