The book is simply a selection of the Times reports of the Olympics,

arranged chronologically, supported by brilliant photographs. 192 pages divided into daily sections with an introduction and epilogue by Simon Barnes.

It is an excellent reminder of each day’s events with an opportunity to re-live them. There are enough words to remind you of the what happened and its significance and the photos to give to the iconic images.
