The authors write that “faith-filled football is a good model for discipleship and outreach”, that football “can be enjoyed to help build the kingdom of God” and that “football is a great way to bring young people to faith”.
The final page gives 14 ideas for readers to follow.
The authors write about “an opportunity for a contextual football theology to develop”. I was not clear exactly what they understood by “football theology”. There is no reference to any of the growing literature on theology of sport.
