"God made me for a purpose, but he also made me fast and when I run, I feel his pleasure."

Formula One 2018

Return to the book list for this category.

Bruce Jones, London, Carlton, 2018. ISBN 8978-1-78739-050-8

The book is the essential guide to Formula One.

It starts with 4-6 pages on each F1 teams. I was interested to see where the teams are based, many of them around Oxfordshire. This section includes a profile of each driver, the famous and the up and coming.

There is a page on each circuit with a map, history and previous winners – essential if you believe in horses for courses. There is an interesting article on driver safely as well as records and statistics.

The comprehensive review of 2017 includes a page report on each Grand Prix. And for those of you -who like me - grew up filling in a World Cup chart, there is a 2018 fill-in chart in the book.

The book can be read from cover to cover, dipped in and out of or kept on your coffee table to check things like- who is the Force India second driver and where did he come from – as you watch races on TV.
