My Story

Return to the book list for titles beginning with 'M'.

Tom Daley, London Penguin – Michael Joseph, 2012. ISBN 978-0-718-15807-1

Tom Daley’s story of his life is very readable and there are pages hundreds of photos – some full page – as well. The book tells the story of his life from the moment he had his first diving lesson through to becoming an Olympian.

The relationship with his father and his father’s death from cancer are poignantly told – as are his problems with bullying at school.

The book gives an excellent insight into the life of the child prodigy as Daley commences international competition before he entered his teenage years.

Given that the book is being heavily promoted for the 2012 Christmas market, it is important to realize that the book was published before the 2012 Olympics.
