Return to the book list for titles beginning with 'M'.

John D Barrow, London Vintage Random House, 2013. ISBN 9780099584230

The author, a professor of Mathematics at Cambridge, applies mathematical reasoning to 100 sporting situations from goal difference in the Premier League to scoring in Modern Pentathlon, the importance of being born at the right time of the year and how Usain Bolt could get better times without running any faster.

The book is entertaining and informative but a times quite technical.
