Brazil Update 3

The view from my seat.

I was among the 74,738 people in the Maracanã stadium, Rio de Janeiro when Argentina beat Bosnia 2-1 with a wonder goal from the World’s best player, Lionel Messi. It was doubly special occasion – the stadium’s 64th birthday and Bosnia’s first ever appearance in the World Cup. Both lived up to their billing.

The inevitable selfie.

The Maracana

Argentina was disappointing but not Messi.

Messi - who else.

Edin Dzeko for Bosnia.

There was great atmosphere in the stadium with fans – mainly Argentineans cheering, chanting, dancing around and waving flags –entertaining except when it blocked one’s view of the game.
